Crafting a 67’ Cedar Fence and Gate in League City, Texas
A 67-foot flush cedar privacy fence and gate we built for Steve Den Bleyker in League City, photographed at dusk and after dark during installation — and what the City’s own rules say about a fence like this.

Mustang Fencing Services built this 67-foot flush cedar privacy fence and gate for Steve Den Bleyker in League City, TX. The photos show the finished run along the house (dusk) and a longer stretch toward the back of the lot (after dark) — both a pointed-top, flush-board cedar style. The project’s height isn’t stated; League City’s Unified Development Code requires a City building permit once a fence passes 7 feet, and the code doesn’t publish a separate general height cap for solid privacy fencing like this one.

What’s in these photos
Both photos attached to this project show a finished flush cedar privacy fence with pointed (dog-ear) board tops — one section near the house, photographed at dusk, and a longer run toward the back of the lot, photographed after dark. Near the house, the fence opens at what reads as a gate: a diagonal brace and a short gap in the board line, consistent with the project’s own title, “Cedar Fence and Gate.”
We’re not naming an exact fence height here — the “67” in this project’s name is the length of the run, not a height, and no height was confirmed for this specific fence. See cedar wood fences for the material and fence & gate installation in League City for the City’s rules in full.

Cedar fence board, post & gate estimator
Enter a fence run to see about how many boards and posts a flush cedar privacy fence like this one takes, and how a gate opening changes the count. It’s arithmetic, not a manufacturer spec.
Board count: (linear feet − gate width) × 12 ÷ board width, rounded up. Fence post count: one post per spacing interval across the fenced (non-gate) run, plus one. Gate posts: 2, sized for the gate opening. All arithmetic, not a manufacturer figure. Permit threshold: City of League City UDC, Ch. 125, Art. 4, Sec. 4.2, checked October 7, 2026.

Why cedar for a League City privacy fence
Cedar resists rot, pests and decay naturally, which suits League City’s humid Gulf Coast climate without the chemical treatment pine needs. It also weathers to a soft gray if left unstained, or can be stained to hold its warm tone — the photos here show the fresh, unweathered color right after installation.
